Anna Celada was born and raised in Rome, Italy. Throughout her childhood she spent extended periods of time in Sweden, Paris and California, and was always surrounded by many beautiful childrens’ books from all over the world, which her mother collected during the family’s extensive travels.
Anna came to New York to attend NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and has since worked both as a producer and translator for RAI - the Italian national broadcaster - and as a freelance translator in the publishing and film industries.
Besides translating she is also a sound and video artist.
She is presently living in Brooklyn with her husband and their two teenage children, and somewhere in her apartment there is a box full of those same children’s books waiting to be passed on to the next generation.
