About the Book

Monday is a penguin. He has two friends, Teapot and Two Hands. Together thy play the piano and have a merry time as the seasons pass: spring, summer and autumn come and go. They have plenty of time. But when winter arrives with its snowstorms, Monday disappears. His friends go to great lengths to find him, but Monday remains missing. Where is Monday? Will Monday return? On the last page of the book Monday does return, a little different, it's true, since Mondays are never quite the same, but smiling.

A word from the author/illustrator about the book:

"I wanted to speak about loss and of days and seasons and the passing of time. In Monday the feeling of loss is also conveyed by the weight of the paper which becomes thinner and thinner until Monday vanishes altogether into a white page. It is a book to be read but also to be felt and touched: when Monday disappers, we can still feel his presence by touching the paper."
