Elizabeth Stanley

Elizabeth Stanley grew up in the country town of Mildura, Australia. She was educated at the University of Melbourne, following which she worked as an English teacher and an educational psychologist for fifteen years. She devoted the next period of life to extensive travel in Europe, Asia, India and Nepal. In 1990, she began writing and illustrating for children. She has had several titles published she 1992, including the award-winning The Deliverance of Dancing Bears. She lives in Sydney, where she continues to bring her rich experience of our world into her work.
